I am confident I may not be in the right place to ask this. It had occurred that I couldn't find the right forum to ask this. Just tell me if I'm in the right place and direct me to the appropriate forum if I am not.
This is my problem
Just recently, I opened my Minecraft launcher and it update itself. So I waited for a minute to finish updating and it turned out to be successful (as there were no prompts). When I opened the launcher it gave me this error:
Error: Invalid or corrupt jarfile C:\Users\My_Username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\minecraft launcher\Minecraft Launcher.exe
I believe the update is to be blamed in this problem because I never had any problems launching the launcher before the update.
I'm running Windows 8 Pro x64
