My son just turned 7 and wants to play some mod's. I am new to minecraft and I am trying figure out how to install the forge for 1.6.4. We had 1.7.5 but I switched it to the 1.6.4 to play some mods.
I downloaded the forge 1.6.4-Latest from minecraft forge downloads.
Installed it to the default C:\Usersers\Name\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
It says that it has been successfully installed.
When I go to %appdata% and look in the versions file of the .minecraft folder there is a 1.6.4 folder and a 1.6.4 - Forge9.11.1.965 folder.
I have watched several youtube videos on how to do this. My problem is when I open up minecraft and click on the downarrow for profile in the bottom left. There is no Forge in there to select. Only my regular account.
Anyone have some ideas how I can get this to work?
Nevermind, I just figured it out. I clicked on the profile editor button in the minecraft launcer and saw the 1.6.4 forge9 in there. I double clicked on it and then it showed up in the profile.
