First off I have never played Minecraft, I have only watched thousands of videos. I finally decided(and have the time) to buy and start playing it. What got me interested in actually playing was Pixelmon and MadPack addons.

So here's my problem.

I downloaded and ran Minecraft for about 2 days running 1.7.4 and it played fine. I got bored with it and wanted to run the 2 mods I mentioned above. I started with Pixelmon. I followed all their steps for proper install and when I logged in to play I got no world. Just blue skies and the sun.

I then tried to run it using 1.6.4 versions for both Minecraft and forge, then 1.7.2 versions and got the same problems. I started to think it was maybe forge causing it so I deleted everything and tried to run just basic Minecraft again with a fresh install in both 1.6.4 and 1.7.2 and still with the same problem on the fresh install with no mods.

Any ideas?

I am running 64bit windows 8.1 with 64bit java

16gb ram
r9 270x

This is a known issue with Minecraft and the AMD 14.1 beta video drivers. It has nothing to do with the Pixelmon mod, it is a vanilla Minecraft issue. Sorry about posting it here. I was convinced it had something to do with the MODs leaving a file behind somewhere I didn't know about, I did search Google and these forums before posting and didn't find that post
