someone please help me i recently got some mods and tried to install them with forge but as soon as the launcher closes and minecraft starts to load it crashes

im using minecraft 1.7.2 and forge 1.7.2

Okay it sounds like you are trying to install the dragon mounts mod correct? sometimes the file you download will not always be the actually mod but a file with the mod and a few other things inside such as a change log. to make sure you are putting the right file into your mods folder open the mod file that you want and if inside is another file with a similar name to the mod (and also has the same icon as the original folder) try dragging the inside one into the mods folder and move the old one out. if there was no mod file within please specify where you got the mod from dont trust anything from other websiets than this or planetminecraft

Okay it sounds like you are trying to install the dragon mounts mod correct? sometimes the file you download will not always be the actually mod but a file with the mod and a few other things inside such as a change log. to make sure you are putting the right file into your mods folder open the mod file that you want and if inside is another file with a similar name to the mod (and also has the same icon as the original folder) try dragging the inside one into the mods folder and move the old one out. if there was no mod file within please specify where you got the mod from dont trust anything from other websiets than this or planetminecraft
