I purchased minecraft in july of 2013, I first tried adding mods about one month later, and that was when the primary version of minecraft was 1.6.2, so I sticked to playing that version adn using 1.6.2 texture packs and mods.
I'm not an expert on these things because I don't always play this game, and each time I forget how to add mods or do special things to change the composition of the game play.
Today I wanted to try out a different version of minecraft that could use minecraft forge, since on 1.6.2 I used forge for mods, I thought I might as well try it out on 1.6.4.
So I installed 1.6.4-Latest 9.11.1.965
1.6.4
From forge..
I dl'd the installer to automatically create a new profile for me.
When I tried to play with the 1.6.4 version. There was an immediate error crash report.
The mods for 1.6.2 conflicted with the unmodded version of 1.6.4.
I guess my question is is it possible to have 2 separate mod folders for the 2 different versions instead of both 1..6.2. mods sharing the same folder as 1.6.4 mods?
Would that mean I would need 1.6.4 mods to only play on version 1.6.4? OR does 1.6.4 mods work on version 1.6.2?
