Hello fellow minecrafters. For the recent 1.6.1 update for minecraft, there was a new launcher that was required to play in 1.6.1, as you all probably know. After about a week after 1.6.1 was released, i found a few mods that i downloaded using Skydaz installers. I tried to download these mods( TMI and the damage Indicators Mod) but the launcher wouldn't enable me to play afterwards. The PLAY button on the new launcher that enables you to play mineraft is greyed out so i can naturally not click it. I need anyones help because i really want to play minecraft! D:<

I already tried deleting the modded jar and reinstalling the launcher, but the "Play" button is greyed out, not just on the modded jar, all of them...

me too. I don't know what's wrong with it. I got TMI and biosphere mod for it from Skydaz's mod installers. later I logged on and the PLAY button was faded (im still having problems)

Having the exact same issue. It is weird to because I cannot edit the minecraft version I am playing on either. The options are all gone on the drop down bar. This whole new launcher is pretty buggy right now.

it happened to me too but i didnt install any mods as soon as it updated from launcher version 1.0.8 to 1.0.9 this started happening

Back up your saves, delete your .minecraft, temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus, go to Minecraft.net and download Minecraft. Tell me if that works, and if it does replace your saves. Only add the mods after you're sure vanilla works.

This kind of happened to me I was installing forge i hit play and it started loading but then it randomly stopped near the end

Im not sure what happened to my minecraft launcher but the play button is greyed out for me aswell. One of the comments said you should be able to log out and back in and it will be fine. This doesn't work because I have probably tried it atleast 20 times, you can type in your username and password, you can press enter but the typing finishes at Going to play offline as 'IcokeDrink'... and it does not go any further. I have installed minecraft again and again but nothing changes. This probably started happened yesterday.

If anyone knows what is happening or can help please do, I shall love you forever

i got the biosphere mod and minecraft worked fine... until i uninstalled it.

Just tried that, but to no avail. I have this same problem, and didn't have any problem similar to this on the old launcher.

Same thing is going on with me. Hopefully i can figure this out.

my Minecraft is working fine now, what i did was find a backup of my new Minecraft (the new .minecraft folder with the new launcher in it) then i replaced it with that one, and it worked fine.

This doesn't work with the new launcher update.

It now works, they updated launcher!

Found the Prob just
1. edit profile
2. go to java settings and unpick executable
3. Make C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe, C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe instead

save and play!

This is happening to me. Except it's not mods that are bothering me. I changed my password and when I log in it just says "Sorry but your username or password is incorrect". I have migrated my account so I am logging in correctly.

I guess we just have to wait until they fix the launcher or something just magically happens. I hope someone knows whats happening. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
