Earlier this week a friend of mine started a server to play Glacticraft with Forge 1.6.4. We went in everyday to play for a bit, and were usually 5 people.
Yesterday though, I came back home late, and found that the server was online and everyone was on playing. When I tried to join, I spawned in an empty world and started falling down endlessly, and after about 5 minutes got the following error code: 'internal exception: java.net.sockettimeoutexception: read timed out'
I went through about 5 pages of Google trying to find a solution, made sure my Java is updated, even allocated 2 gigs of ram to my launcher, but the same thing kept happening. I asked the host if he did or saw anything weird happen, but no. We tried restarting the server, tried checking the server properties, but we couldn't find any way to fix it. Everyone else gets in with absolutely no problem, but I get the problem every time.
My specs:
Intel Core i5-4430 3.00 GHz
8gb RAM
Windows 7 64 bit
GTX 660
