I am the father of a 12 year old who is a maniac about this software. I don't usually allow/support gaming as I would rather they be studying their math, but this game seems to allow him to really develop problem solving skills, and even get the bug for computer programming so I support it.
I don't pretend to really know the intricacies (he tries to explain but it goes right over my head), so this is my best attempt (I told him I would try to help). He is creating some type of island in the sky (apparently it is like a floating island that isn't attached to anything) and he is struggling with what he calls spawning. He said that when he falls off the island his character respawns but he can't direct the spawn exactly so sometimes it respawns in space and dies; it gets caught in a perpetual loop of respawning and dying. How can he control more accurately the respawn process.
It seems to me that he is really getting into this in depth and so I would also like to ask if there is a complete listing (library) of the functions/commands available.
You can also access the list using the command /help while in game
To spawn in a specific spot, go to the location where you would like to spawn at and use the command /spawnpoint
If you are using any mods, there is usually a link to a guide for the list of commands available from the author's page/thread of the mod you have downloaded from.
