My optifine version is: OptiFine_1.7.4_HD_U_C4 I have had optifine before and this had never happened. but minecraft works fine when I dont use the optifine profile on minecraft. My minecraft launcher version is: Minecraft launcher 1.3.9

I have a similar problem. Start up is fine, and I can enter the menu of the game without issues. I load up a world, a few blocks become visible, then it stops responding. I'm using the latest preview of OptiFine for 1.7.4, but this has happened with non-preview versions.
Deleting the .minecraft folder and re-installing worked for a bit but then stopped being effective. This is really frustrating.
[EDIT]: I checked a bit and found something interesting. Not sure exactly what it means, a bit of explanation would be nice.
