So recently I decided to try and play a modded survival world of minecraft. The problem is that I constantly run out of memory and crash when trying to load the world.
I looked into it and saw that I can allocate more ram to my minecraft.
(code I tried to use)
When I tried this it did not work and my computer says it is out of ram.
(error message here)
Now this wouldn't be a problem for me if my computer was low on ram, but that is not the case.
(Picture of my system)
So I decided to take a picture of before and after loading minecraft.
(Before)
(After)
So from what I can tell, I should be able to allocate 2Gb of ram to minecraft instead of 1Gb. If anyone has any insight on how to fix this it would be very appreciated.
you can change the ram using this command in your profile in minecraft launcher
when the launcher is on click on edit profile.
enable "JVM Arguments:"
and write there the command
-Xmx2048M -Xms2048M

that worked but the client never loads. It just says that it has stopped responding.
