Ok so let me start by saying its not a FPS issue. My FPS is stable at 55-80 and sometimes will go down to 35 when loading new chunks. But I have a lag issue when playing on my server. My friends and I play on a server that I pay for hosting on. They have a lag free game experience while I lag like hell at times. When I say lag its mainly with mouse movement. Rotation to look around and up and down. Single player works great for me. They all run 15-30 FPS but have no lag so im lost as to my issue. We all live in the same town and run the same service provider as well. I have the fastest connection out of all of us.
I do use a wireless mouse but I hesitate to point it out as the issue due to single player having no issues at all and it runs a 110 plus FPS.
The computer is running 4 gigs of ram with a ATI HD6570 graphics card and Athalon II x2 220 running at 2.8ghz . I do have minecraft set to run on 64bit java with 1.5gig of ram set.
Issue is resolved. I uninstalled the keyboard and mouse center that installed with the mouse and also reinstalled drivers. Also removed the option in the control panel for the mouse for increasing pointer accuracy. Now the mouse movement is silky smooth and gameplay is great both in single player and multiplayer.
