So, I was wondering if there is a way to have more than one modded profile that is Forge compatible? I have a lot of mods that I want to test out, and playing a clean minecraft is still pretty laggy, so I wanted to know if there is a way that I can setup, say, two profiles, One with these mods, the other with those mods. To be exact, I already have Pixelmon on my Forge profile, along with multiple other "smaller" mods, and I was wanting to add AssassinCraft, ParticleMan, and GoodNightsSleep on another profile, if possible. I would just cut/paste the current mods out of the mod folder when I wasn't using them but Pixelmon stores data elsewhere in the .minecraft folder, and I'm a bit timid to be moving it around too much... Any suggestions? I can provide more information if needed, by request. I'm also not computer-ignorant, but I'm not amazingly gifted either. So if you do have a way to do this, I'd love it if you could explain it moderately simply.
Thanks!!

Duplicate your forge profile desired number of times, should be easy in profile editor provided on tabs in your launcher, by right clickin on desired profile.
For each of duplicates go to edit profile, and switch on specific directory to be stored in, ofcourse fill in path to desired directory for each profile can be in diffrent one.
Run each profile at least once to create folder structures.
In each directory, set-up desired set of mods and configs acording to your likings.

TAKE CHANCES. TELL THE TRUTH. KISS SLOWLY. DATE SOMEONE TOTALY WRONG FOR YOU.
SAY NO. LOVE DEEPLY. FORGIVE QUICKLY. SPEND ALL YOUR CASH.
GET TO KNOW SOMEONE RANDOM, BE RANDOM. SAY I LOVE YOU. SING OUT LOUD.
FORGET THE PAST. REMMEMBER WHAT IT TOUGHT YOU. LAUGH AT STUPID JOKES.
CRY. APOLOGIZE. TELL SOMEONE HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO YOU.
TELL A JERK WHAT YOU THINK.LAUGH TILL YOUR STOMACH HURTS.

So, I could (for example) have a duplicated forge profile that is stored in a folder on the desktop? Then where would I put the mods? Does it make it's own mod folder within the specified directory?..
Thanks!
As stated before, you can make multiple profiles in the launcher to direct to different mod setups. This is what I'm currently doing, actually.
Under "Edit Profile",the default game directory is pointing at the .minecraft folder.(For me, I'm running a Mac, and my default game directory path looks as follows: /Users/Mandy/Library/Application Support/minecraft)
For game versions 1.6.2 and up, the simplest way to have multiple modded versions is to tack on a folder name at the end of that directory path (For example, "/Users/Mandy/Library/Application Support/minecraft/divinerpg" points to the mod setup that runs DivineRPG as the main mod.). Then when you run the game using any version that you wish, even a forge version that you had previously installed, that folder will be created and populated with the folders : config, mods,crash-reports, resource packs, saves, and stats. The other folders required for gameplay (library, lib, logs, assets, screenshots, and versions) will remain unchanged in the main .minecraft folder, and will be used by all profiles. (For example, a profile set up to run just pixelmon and a different profile set up to run just DivineRPG will both use the same library, lib, logs, assets, screenshots, and versions folders, while each having their own set of config,mods,crash-reports,resource packs, saves, and stats folders.)
I do hope I have made sense, my words and thoughts tend to get a bit scrambled when I type sometimes.

No, you made perfect sense! You both have helped me out tremendously, thank you! I wasn't quite sure you could do that, although I had a feeling, due to the fact that it did have the option to change a profiles directory... So I shall go test this, and if I run into any issues, I'll put them back on here. Thanks!!! XD

Weird, when I try to make one on my external hard drive and then try to install Forge, I continue to run into problems where it says that the directory is missing a launcher profile, yet I have a profile set up that connects to that directory.
