Hello! I am new to the Minecraft Forums and well I am sorry if this problem is in the wrong discussion but my problem is that I recently installed optifine and I downloaded it and put it into my mods folder and then I went to get into Minecraft (No Problems) I clicked play and it loaded and then the actual Minecraft didn't open and all that was open was the launcher. It said it was open but it wasn't on my desktop.

Could anyone please help me I am on a mac Btw and This is only when I have my optifine in my mod folder when it is out Minecraft works fine. Maybe its a mod thats making an interference.

Optifine features an auto-installer. If you downloaded the .jar file you can just double click it to have it install properly. Uninstall Optifine and try it via the auto-installer.

Does that mean I can still have other mods as well?

When using multiple mods you will frequently run into hiccups as they conflict with one another, but I don't know of any mods that should really conflict with Optifine.

So yes, you should be able to run any other mods just fine with Optifine.
