Ok, This might be in the wrong thread, so if it is, please tell me. I did not see where else it would fit.
Anyway, 2 days before Christmas (Dec 25 2013) Me and my friend had a server at the time. We were on the servers main world and everything was fine. So, i asked him to send me a copy of said world. He did so. The file is pretty big (2.72GB) and has many files in the "Regions" folder. I popped it into my saves file and went to load it. Minecraft refused to load the world and hung on "Loading World: Building terrain" So, i created a test server on my pc, to see if it needed to be run on a server. It just hung on " Preparing start region for level 0" So today, after about 2 weeks untouched, i tried to Recover it by following instructions here: http://minecraft.gam...aved_world_data
I did that, and it loaded. But, No buildings exsist. Not even spawn, which is what i am concerned about. My friend lost all his files and does not have the world anymore. It is a 1.6.4 generated world. This is extremely frustrating and upsetting because we spent a month building all of it. If anyone has any ideas or if that is all i could do, please let me know. If for some reason you need to look at the world yourself, I will provide a DL link. It is a big file.

Almost forgot, here is what shown in the Minecraft SP console when trying to load the world:
