I installed the latest update (HD B4 Ultra) and the problem appears to be gone. I've gone everywhere on my map where I've seen the errors in the past, and they are no longer appearing. And all the signs work!

I know this thread has been dead for a bit, but i just had the same error happen to me with some signs i put in my mob spawner/trap. i didn't think anything of it, but when i tried to destroy my giant mob spawner/trap later (due to it being terribly inefficient) i got about halfway done dismantling it and then fell off and died. To my surprise, when i respawned, i saw the error printed in the chat again and a giant chunk of the spawner that i had already destroyed had come back. so i tried to destroy it again, but this time the blocks didn't drop anything. and if i placed a torch on them they simply vanished as if the game knew that i had already destroyed them, but i had just reminded it to actually remove the blocks. It's really strange and effectively makes this structure that i've built reappear every time the chunk is reloaded. it's really annoying and i've tried almost everything (even resorted to tnt) but the "ghost" mob spawner/trap keeps coming back. If anyone has any info or can help it would be greatly appreciated. i started the world in 1.4.6 and i played with 1.5 as well. Just updated to 1.5.1 in hopes that it would fix this bug, but no luck. any help would be great. I could also post screen shots if that might help explain it better.
this problem is still on the rise, i installed optfine HD U 1.72 and the 1.72 client, and both my MP and SP worlds get the sign message, And chunks appear to go missing, i place something, leave and come back and that item is gone again.
at this point i cant really think of what i should do, its frustrating and im thinking about just starting new games.

Thankfully my signs were for a chair, and blank.
