Hello there! Just recently I installed Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders v10.0 (SEUS to save time). I can run SEUS well, holding a somewhat steady 35 FPS with very few absolute-0 frame drops (meaning it doesn't drop my FPS count all the way to 0). However, I'm running moderately low settings and playing on half screen size to achieve these FPS counts. I would like to get better FPS while I'm playing and recording, and I am not sure where my mechanical problem lies. I did some benchmarks and similar things on my machine (anything needed will be below in the spoilers or available if you contact me directly) and have noticed that I'm only using about 45-50% of my available CPU, with the infrequent 60% spike. I haven't found a graph for my GPU, but I have looked at the specs and it seems like it's adequate for 60 FPS while running shaders while being in fullscreen (then again I know very little about GPU). I was hoping that someone would be able to direct me to whatever my problem may be. Thanks! -JHBD560

That should be it. If you need anything else to help solve the problem, I should be able to give you it. I don't mean this in a mean way, but if you have no idea what you're talking about, please don't answer or provide reliable information. I spent my money on this and I'd rather not waste it because some idiot on a forum trashed it. Anyways, thank you for any help in advance!

Everything looks fine...I don't know what's the problem ...
Here are my computer specs:
Graphics card:AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series crossfire(as I remember correctly)
Proccessor:Intel®Core™i3-2120 [email protected] 3.30Ghz
RAM: 4 GB
I'm running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Operation Sytem
Motherboard: I have no idea honesly
And I still run Minecraft on Fancy and I have far render distance(16 blocks)
I think you should unistall those mods. Your computer can't handle what those mods can do! I remebmer lagging like crazy when I installed that mod
Yeah. I can run standard Minecraft and run decently with SEUS installed. I'm doing a Minecraft series for YouTube in the future where I have SEUS installed to add some flare so my videos aren't as mundane as other peoples. Just another way to get recognized and pioneer something new. I may end up uninstalling them, but I'm going to try to run them. Thank you for your suggestion though!

Why is that relevant? Minecraft has a bug(?) where for some reason it (or the launcher) prefers integrated graphics over a dedicated card, resulting in poor performance (not necessarily bad enough to be noticed with normal settings); in order to fix this, you have to force Minecraft use the dedicated card, following the steps shown here.
Although it could just be the shader, which does put a big burden on your computer (never tried it; I know I probably wouldn't get a playable FPS with it), but 35 FPS on Tiny render distance seems low. I also suggest changing Performance to Max FPS and turning Vsync off, although the latter may cause noticeable screen tearing, but causes FPS to drop to a submultiple of your refresh rate (e.g. 30, 20, 15... FPS for a 60 Hz refresh rate) if it can't keep up; otherwise, it is a good idea to have it on.

Yes. I've read a little on VSync and VSync isn't really affecting the performance. I installed OptiFine about an hour ago and it raised my FPS count by 10 (45 FPS on average). I didn't play a whole 15 or 30 minute session with VSync off but there wasn't much of a noticeable change for the few minutes to seconds I had it off. I also targeted my chunk loading as part of the problem (which I fixed through OptiFine) and I think that was acting as some sort of a bottleneck for FPS. I ran Minecraft with the shaders on fullscreen after I upped the FPS with OptiFine and I stuck around 18. Again, I didn't check what video card Minecraft is running on so I may be able to fix my problem a little more. I'll up date the thread when I find out.

Not necessarily; I looked it up and found this:

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
