I downloaded MInecraft last night and there was every file in there like texture packs and resource packs and that. I did everything it said about a mod and I messed it up. so I deleted the .minecraft folder and the launcher and completely emptied the recycle bin. I re-installed the launcher and the folder now has just versions file. launcher executable jar file and launcher.pack.lmza, options.txt and launcher_profiles.json. Then when I run the game, more folders appear which are assets, libraries, logs, resourcepacks and saves. What do I do to get everything back what was there originally?

You can't have your saves back since you deleted them. But, you can re-download the resource packs and the mod. You could watch a YouTube video on how to install the mod, to not mess it up again (I recommend SCMowns).

so it don't matter that the texture pack folder and all that is gone?

What version were you playing on? Because' it's 1.7.2 now, and there are no texture packs anymore.

how do I reinstall my texture packs?It says Minecraft 1.7.4

Download a resource pack and move them to the resource packs folder. Simple as that.

I want to get the Minecraft Comes Alive mod so how will I go about doing that?

I'm pretty sure that MCA hasn't been updated to 1.7.x yet. You'll have to downgrade your Minecraft version. Download the 1.6.x Forge installer from the Forge website, install it and it should make a profile for you in the launcher. Go to Profile Editor in the launcher, double click your profile and select the forge version. To add mods just go to: %appdata%/.minecraft/mods

there is no mods folder so do I have to create one?

Yeah, create one.
And, you did run the vanilla version once, right? If you didn't, you probably need to delete the Forge profile in the versions folder and run the vanilla version by selecting it in the profile editor. Once, you've run it, exit then follow the instructions I gave above.
I'm honestly not the best at Modding so, you should read the tutorials on Gamepedia.

apparently the MCA mod is only for version 1.6.4 of minecraft and I installed forge onto the 1.7.2 version. what do I do? :/

No, lol, Run the 1.6.4 vanilla version from the launcher. Go to Profile editor, select the 1.6.4 version then, click the play button. Exit, then install the 1.6.4 forge. Then move the MCA zip file into the mods folder. Then, select the Forge version from the launcher then play!

No, you can keep it. You can have multiple versions on the new launcher, if that's what you're using.
