I am in need of some help installing some mods onto 1.7.4. I tried to do it myself but it is not seeming to work, so I was wondering if someone with TeamViewer could come and help me!

The only version of Forge for 1.7 is for 1.7.2. That may be your problem. Also, a lot of mods are still not updated since it took so long to update MCP and Forge. And if you want, I can help you here. I don't have TeamViewer but it's not too hard to explain. What have you been trying to do?

I have been attempting to implement the "Too Many Item Mods" for my nephew and I have managed to get as far as creating a new version to load with the mod copied into the .jar file, but pressing "o" does not initiate the mod. Am I missing something in the final steps toward getting this mod working for him.

Is this due to the most recent updates? The mod version I have is for 1.7.2. Would this make a difference with 1.7.4?

I mean...I've hooked myself up with Skyrim and Fallout and Naughty Bear, yet this game simply seems to elude my grasp.

I appreciate any assistance we can get.

Hmm it seems like everyone is having trouble with Too Many Items. I haven't used it in a LONG time, but it says it has a Forge compatibility. Go here and download the latest 1.7.2 forge installer. Install the client and then run the game. After you get to the main menu of Minecraft, you can exit. Navigate to your .minecraft folder (Google it if you don't know how to) and then in that folder, there should be a folder named Mods. Drop the Too Many Items jar file in there and it should run.
