Do i need permission to the modmakers if im just gonna make a modpack for private server

do i still need permission from the mod makers if im making a modpack just for a private modded LAN game? also how do i set my server up. im using team xtreme's client

so its a good right. i can make a modpack for a private LAN. as for support regarding having a pirated game its okay.... ill just manage...
