So I was following this excellent video explaining how to install the mod what to download, where to get, and what the most recent version was. All together, I believe there was about 4 files I ended up needing to download. So I followed the process described in the video and then had a problem with the last task I needed to do. For some reason I can not located my .minecraft mods folder. I tried a lot of different ways of searching it and no luck. All that is left to do is copy and past the files I downloaded into the mods folder. If someone could help this sorry noob out I would seriously appreciate it. So would my six year old who is dying to see a bear. Thanks guys, hope you can help.
Mo' Creatures is a 1.6.2 Forge mod. Once Forge is fully installed, adding Mo' Creatures is easy; just place the required files in the mods folder. Also, make sure that you're using Minecraft 1.6.2, and not the latest version; the game will crash if you try to use 1.6.4 or 1.7.x.
Edit: First though, you must run Minecraft after Forge is installed, so that Forge can create the necessary folders and files.
Thanks guys, it is working great, and my little guy loves the animals. Can you guys tell me if it is possible to run more than one mod at a time? Have a good Holidays, cheers.

Well, I have 67 of them running right now, so yes, definitely.
Be aware, however, that the more mods you use, the trickier it gets to keep up with them; you may need to do a hefty amount of config editing in some cases. In addition, a ton of mods (more than 30 usually for me) can slow your game down, but there are ways to make things faster. I'd recommend getting Optifine, which will speed up your game significantly if you use it right, even if you don't have many mods installed. And for fun mods, if you're looking for some more interesting biomes to explore, I'd recommend Biomes O' Plenty and ExtrabiomesXL. They all install the same way (drag and drop into the mods folder), and each one can add hours of fun to your game.
Thanks man, I just downloaded Biomes o' Plenty, the first world I started, there was a message saying I had to chose the "world" of biomes o plenty to play it, it was in red txt and said it would only be displayed once. So i started it up again and didn't get the message the second time around. I am going to read up on the biomes mod. So far, in the second game I started i noticed the winter biome is massive and I have yet to see the jungle or forrest. I am just not sure what exactly is included with this mod, so that's why I am going to read up on it. Thanks again man, I'll be sure to try out the extrabiomes aswell. Cheers!!

Glad I could help. And yes, Biomes O' Plenty only generates its biomes in its own world type. Basically, when you start a new world, instead of choosing the "Default" or "Large Biomes" world type, you now can choose a "Biomes O' Plenty" world type. Alternatively, you can edit the BoP config file and enable generation of BoP biomes in the default world, if you wish to use BoP in conjunction with other biome mods. There's a ton of content in BoP though, enough to basically double the exploration content of Vanilla Minecraft.
