ok, i downloaded minecraft for pc a few days ago, tryed putting mods on but my modded version is not showing up on the version select menu. i renamed the json file,it should be there,but its not,i tryed doing it on the 1.6.4 version,any experts out there know what too do?

Download this file http://adf.ly/673885...3-installer.jar and run it (I got that off http://files.minecraftforge.net/) and it should guide you through the install process. If you can, delete your .minecraft folder, then start up minecraft and load the game once, shut it down, and then run the installer.

Make sure to run it once, then quit it, then put your mods in the mods directory in .minecraft, then start it again

found the mod folder
put my mods in.crashes
put single mods in one at a time, all crash
tryed deleting meta inf, wouldnt even load,
Deleting meta-inf is not a god idea, you may need to delete the .minecraft folder and install again to reset it. What mods are you trying to install?

Could you try over again, delete the entire .minecraft directory, boot minecraft up, let it run once and then shut it down, run the forge installer, run it once and shut it down, and then run it once with only one mod installed? Then, if it still crashes, post your ForgeModLoader-client-*.log file contents.
