My son wants pixelmon and from what I can see, I require 1.6.4 to do this. I have the following questions.
1. We are currently running 1.7.2, how do I go back to 1.6.4?
2. Which version of Forge do I need, and where do I get this from?
3. Why does this need to be so complicated?
It will install forge to a new profile running 1.6.4 for you.
You just need to run the client and select the Forge profile on the bottom left of the main launcher.
Run the game, then exit, that just mankes sure its all ready to add mods.
Then download the mod you want to use, and place it in the mods folder C:\Users\*your windows name*\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods (or similar depending on your os)
Run minecraft using the Forge profile and the mod will be installed aswell
Hi, I'm not sure how to run the client. It tells me when I try to install it, "you need to run the version 1.6.4 manually at least once"And I'm pretty sure it's a user issue. I used to be able to do all this sort of stuff
ah, worked for me, but i did have a previous 1.6.4 install.
load the minecraft launcher, then on the main screen look at bottom left at profile, click new, give it a name etc, and on the version area select the dropdown and choose 1.6.4, save the profile.
select the profile and hit the big play button. one the game has loaded exit.
then try the forge installer again.
