hello everyone,
for a month now, i keep getting the error "Internal Exception:java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read Timed Out".
I am in minecraft 1.5.2 and so is my brother. this never happened before I installed FML. when I put a world on LAN, my brother tries to connect to it and gets this message. me and him have the same mods and worlds. I even copied my entire .minecraft folder and replaced his with it, but still the same error. I would like to keep FML because I like the mods it can hold and I want to make videos like TheAtlanticCraft, and i want those mods.eg: damage indicators mod. please help. I have 64-bit java and so does he. please help.
thanks in advance.
That's a very common, general error for network problems, could be lots of different things such as a slow internet speed, a poor connection to the network, your antivirus/firewall could be blocking minecraft or it could be simply that the Mojang servers are slow/down (although if it's happening alot, it's probably not that).
Potential Solutions:
- Disable your antivirus/firewall on the host
- Connect both computers directly to your router via a cable (Ethernet Cable)
- Do a speedtest and tell me what you get: http://www.speedtest.net/
