every time I try to open technic it replies with: error: could not create java virtual machine, and under that it states; error:a fatal exception occurred. program will exit. I have posted this on technic forums but still no response. if anone could help, it would be much apprecieated (sorry about my grammer!)
Ok so usually this error comes up when Java doesn't have enough memory to launch. However, I recently had this problem and I have 13GBs of free memory, and it was still complaining that it didn't have enough memory, so obviously that wasn't the problem. I tried everything else I could think of, free re-installing java (some say downgrading to java 6 works but that wasn't an option for me), to launching the .jar off a bat file- but none of it worked. Finally in desperation I went to my roaming folder (Computer/Local Disk/Users/AppData/Roaming), and deleted the .technic folder ( I suggest you back up your saves or you will lose them), deleted the technic launcher, and finally re-installed the technic launcher. Thankfully it worked. However, before you do this I suggest you re-install java just in case it's corrupt. If that doesn't work, do what I said and should fix your issue. Hope I helped you!
