So today I got up and got onto my FTB unleashed world and it seemed to be working fine at first but then about 30 seconds to a minute into gameplay I start lagging crazy with my fps jumping from 60 to 1 fps and then back to 60 and pretty much everywhere in between. I also have this problem in perfectly vanilla Minecraft, but that aside I have tried restarting my computer, reinstalling Java and even system restore, because yesterday it was working fine. This has happened before but I have a feeling It is either the fact that I may have more than one copy of Java installed or it could be my internet because I am in the middle of the woods with satellite internet but when I go home I usually gets better. but this time I am afraid it won't. But that can't be the problem because it has done this elsewhere.
The specs of my PC are as follows:
Intel i7-3612QM CPU @ 2.10 GHz
8GB of RAM with only 7.88GB usable
Integrated Graphics
64-bit operating system (Windows 7 home premium)
My computer Model is a Dell Inspiron 5520
I normally am able to run Vanilla Minecraft at maximum settings with about 70-100 fps
and FTB at 60-70 FPS at minimum settings with view bobbing on. I did try turning view bobbing off but that didn't help.
I don't know what else to do please help
I also can Run other games such as Planetside 2 at maximum settings with no problems.
Edit:
lastly I would like to note that when I first start up minecraft or FTB, my debug screen says it has at least 64 or more chunk updates but as the game goes on that drops to 1 or 0 and I think that may have a direct correlation to my FPS but that doesn't seen right the fewer the processes the higher the FPS is more like it not the few the processes the lower the FPS that makes no sense. I now know that the internet my actually be the problem because when I tried disconnecting from my network completely it got even worse with 1- 17 FPS as soon as I launched my world.
2nd Edit:
So I went into my settings on the FTB launcher and I noticed that I had almost all of my RAM allocated to FTB and when I started my task manager I noticed that windows explorer (not to be confused with Internet Explorer they are different) was using abut 20,000K of RAM and so was my desktop window manager (which ending that process would bring the fatal windows blue screen), Because of this I decided to lower the amount allocated to FTB to 6 GB but that didn't help either, after I did this and launched FTB I noticed that almost perfectly the number of chunk updates I had was almost in sync with my FPS it makes no sense. Is there something wrong with my Java or my Minecraft (I even tried reinstalling that too it didn't help) Please help!
3rd Edit:
So I tried restarting my computer again and when I heard the Whirr of my CPU fan I realized it wasn't running while I was playing, Bingo my CPU is overheating because the fan is not running problem solved
