I decided I would update from 1.5.2 and go to 1.6.2 but not 1.6.4 or 1.7.2 for various reasons.
I downloaded forge version 9.10.0.804 and installed the client. But in the launcher if I try to start up forge, then there is this error:

Ok, goto the file, unzip it, open multimc.execlick on the folder with a star right topedit your version to 1.6.4 (or in this case 1.6.2)launch it!close it!click on Edit Modsclick on versionsclick on install forgeclick on the latest oneRun itClose itGoto edit modsclick on loader modsclick on addadd your mods to itrun itand then you should have forge with your modsDont forget to press the cat button in the top right

Then go to Roaming → .minecraft → saves. There should be some folders with your world names. Now go to the MultiMC folder called tmp. From there, go to mmc-win32-artifacts → instances → Forge → Minecraft → saves. Copy the folders from before and paste then into this saves folder, and your worlds are back!

EDIT: Okay, I found out how to transfer your worlds. Assuming you don't have Windows and not Windows 8, click the start button, type in %appdata% inclucking the percent signs. Then go to Roaming → .minecraft → saves. There should be some folders with your world names. Now go to the MultiMC folder called tmp. From there, go to mmc-win32-artifacts → instances → Forge → Minecraft → saves. Copy the folders from before and paste then into this saves folder, and your worlds are back!
