I'll start with a little story (Skip to tl;dr if you don't really care):
So I came back to Minecraft, and decided I'd load up an older file from around February of this year. When it's all loaded and I'm in-game, I don't even bother trying to fix my newbie redstone enchanting area that I broke on accident, and switch back to survival mode from creative. Instead, I leave my character's bedroom, head up my bunker's ladder, and head outside my cabin.
I breathe a sigh of relief since my older Mo Creature's mod isn't working, and I see precisely zero orgres or any other potentially aggressive mobs that will desecrate my dinky cabin and expose my bunker. So I take a small jouney around my local village and visit the residents, tend to my crops, and wait until the sun goes down to head back home for the night when it hit's me:
I've seen precisely zero mobs...
So I head back out, and take a careful look around. I eye up all the nearby trees, the hills, the caves, and verify that there are no mobs anywhere to be found. Like they all packed up and left, "... Except..." I rush to my nether portal, and go to the nearest Blaze spawner I have to find a Blaze that I quickly dispatch. This only left me wondering even more: "So the game was working after these mods I have were outdated, but now all my normal mobs are gone unless they come from spawners.
This isn't the case for all my files though, just this one. I'd solve the problem, but I have no clue how to update these mods, if the mods are the problem, or if there's a simple way to circumvent this whole issue. Maybe I missed something important way back between now and Februrary that's easy to toggle on and off, maybe not. I have no clue.
tl;dr:
For some reason Blazes are spawning in The Nether, but I have no others in my main world. I have some outdatted mods. I just have no clue how to find all of them to update, or if there's a way around it, because the mobs were all here back before all these updates, but when I loaded up 1.5.2 it's all barren.
As for there being no mobs, I'm not sure about that, if you haven't changed anything since you played it in Feb, mobs should not have just disappeared. I'd suspect performing a clean update to 1.6.4 and then installing the latest version of Mo Creatures would probably fix it though.
Thanks. Well... I'm not quite sure how to see all the mods. They should all be held in the mods folder, right? I don't remember all of the ones I had installed at the time. I don't even remember how to install a mod, and I never learned how to update one. There's also a coremods folder, so did I put something in there?
Would it be possible to just save the one world I want and reinstall the whole game? I don't mind not having mods, and I could always go back to newer ones later.
