Hello, ive been having a problem, once forge mod-loader was actualy loading, instead of mc crashing afterwards. it just goes black.

Yea, and now once i tried to install it, it wont give back a meta-inf when i force update, that used to work to get the meta inf file in.
now it just crashed when Ever i install Anything
and once i get a meta-inf. forge loads correctly, but minecraft goes blank and no error or crash report is given :| once it goes black i can even close without a crash report.

Some people will probably be annoyed by me copy and pasting what I've said over and over again. ><

Delete your .minecraft folder and then run the main launcher again, to download your files again. then try reinstalling forge. Forge itself has a Meta-inf. Delete the meta-inf in your minecraft.jar then copy all the forge files over. ignore the new meta-inf.. That's what worked for me. Try it.

I have the same problem.
I deleted and re-downloaded the minecraft.jar
Opened it with WinRAR
Deleted META-INF in minecraft.jar
Copied Forge files into mc.jar
Opened minecraft.exe
Forge and minecraft load , no main menu , just a black screen.
( tried deleting META-INF in forge too)

Opened McPatcher
clicked on [ Test Minecraft ]

if nobody knows how to fix this then atleast give me a link for a mod loader for 1.4.2 that works

Run the minecraft.exe again. (need to do this to update the error log)

Post the forge error log. It's called ForgeModLoader-client-0.log, it's in the minecraft folder.

Also. MultiMC makes installing mods super simple. Might want to give it a try.

I have installed the modloader correctly and sucessfully but when i run mc it doesnt run properly.(item lists flashing on the screen when i play any of my worlds and seeing thru walls sometimes)

What launcher are you using? I think that Forge tries to validate your Minecraft account before you can play. So if you didn't pay for your account or if you're using a cracked launcher, then just buy Minecraft.

I really need help you guys.I was trying to install modloader.When I installed it and ran minecraft it said that fml was setting up my environment.Then an error came up saying this:
There was a fatalerror starting up fml and minecraft.Minecraft cannot launch its current configuration.
