this is the error i keep getting when i tried to re-install forge....
so i went and looked around and found the files to download and put it in there place hopeing it would get fixed.
after i put those in the files i re tried downloading forge and when i started it up i got the same error that i got before i even put those files into the propper folders....
my question is this what am i doing wrong and what can i do to fix this. before this latest patch came out everything worked fine.
Try to use the installer i made.
It Includes Forge directly on setup so you do not have to run the java installer fo forge
installation includes
- Minecraft HD 1.6.4 (Includes Forge)
- GLSL Shader mods (If you choose)
- SEUS Shader (If you choose)
- Reis Minimap (If you choose)
- Portal Gun Mod (If you choose)
ok i got 1 response to this and i even tried his advice and yet i still cant get it to work.... ive tried just about everything i can think of need more help i know there is a bunch of minecraft pro people out there so please reach out to me and help me out
If i remember correctly scala library, was used by ChickenBones mods in near past, cuz of some of functions were noncompatible or needed support from others and simmilar. And there was an issue with download repository for that scala lib. Doesn't realy matter why, cuz in the newest updates of mods, it is fixed and not required to have anymore .
I would reccomend to update your mods, to the latest as possible (or ask someone to do it for you).

i am using the forge mod loader just so i can install mods into my minecraft but when i download the installer and hit install is when it tells me that those 2 files are missing
I just installed forge on 4 client setups (deleting them entirely re-doing the proccess again), with Forge 9.11.1.935 on 1.6.4 MC did not complained not even once. (tested on Win 7 64-bit)
I also tried several times to do it with server setup, but with different forges (933, 935, 938), but this time tested on linux. Did not complained not even once.
If you like i can pack it up and send you link to it via PM, noticing it is there thanks to forge 935. Interested?
Yea maybe a step by step guide ? Ill give it a try when I get off work and let ya know if all is fixed
There is no step by step guide. I just run forge installer, and tell him to install client or server, whatever i need. latter i get msg "All done" (well, not exactly a quote, but suits the purpose). No error msg's etc. Ofcourse when installing server, you point him to folder where your vanila server launcher resides. Thats it
