I'm trying to use the Pixelmon Mod for minecraft version 1.6.2, and I'm currently running 1.6.4 (Haven't ran 1.7.2 yet) and I need some help... I can't figure out how to use the mod, I have it downloaded and I can't figure out how to either 1.) Make a forge-compatible 1.6.2 so that it plays mods out of the /mods folder, or 2.) How to hard install Pixelmon into the 1.6.2 Version.
I'm not quite a noob, but I'm pretty rookie at modding. Some of this stuff kind of just goes past me.
Help would be majorly appreciated though!
This is an easy fix. First download the 1.6.2 version of Forge from http://files.minecraftforge.net and then just drop the pixelmon folder into the mod folder and the database into the bin. Finally from the launcher you click on edit profile and change the version to 1.6.2.
You might have to run version 1.6.2 before the Forge installer will work. For that just choose that version in edit profile.
Drop the database into the bin? What database? And you mean just drop it in the /bin? Nothing fancy? And yeah, I know how to do other versions, just wasn't sure about how to mod them,

Yes, it will install and create a minecraft profile for you called 'Forge', you then need to drop the mods into the 'mods' folder in the minecraft directory. When you're ready to play, run minecraft and select the 'Forge' profile.
Yeah, I knew how to install mods, I was just trying to figure out how to install Forge to 1.6.2 when I was currently running 1.6.4... I figured it out though, thanks for the help!!!

Download the installer and run it? How do I run the Forge installer to install to 1.6.2? Doesn't it automatically install to the most recent version?
