I'm on a Mac. I'm creating a world based on ancient Rome, and I've been editing the PNG files for various blocks. I want to change the names of these blocks in the en_US.lang file. This file is contained in the .jar file for the version; thus, for version 1.6.4, I need to edit this file:
I've made my edits and put the new .jar file in place, but my new names do not appear. Instead, all the standard names still show up. When I look in the file after quitting Minecraft, the names have all been edited back to the originals. How can I force Minecraft to use my en_US.lang file?
