I can't find my minecraft.jar file I tried to download optifine with the help of a YouTube video but now I can not found that file. I tried using the mod tool called magic launcher but the mods would only work when I clicked test and not when I clicked on my mine craft so if any one can help me find my minecraft.jar file it would be appreciated? I have a windows 8.
Go to the desktop, then start menu. Go to Search. Then type in %appdata%. Open the folder named .minecraft --> Open the folder named bin --> Your minecraft.jar is in here. You can open it with winRAR or a similar application.
I cannot find it in bin. Please help. I recently got 1.6.2 on windows 8. The only things in the bin are the backups.
