Not sure if this is in the right section, I apolagize if it is not. (Wasn't sure it should go in the mod section, Q n' A, support section, ect.)
Anyway, not sure if its been asked/answered before, but I can not find the answer anywere. I would like to know:
1: Will a mod overwrite my vanilla worlds...
2: Can I use my Vanilla world in a modded world, all my buildings and such.
3: can I have more then one at a time, for example: Can I have a mod that makes it so it has physics such as grass swaying in the wind, one that adds water reflections, AND one that adds machinery to make things such as windmills and what not? (I'm demanding I know)
Thanks in advance for answering any of my noob filled questions.
Pro tip: make backups of your worlds before you install any mods. Actually, you should make backups of just about everything, all the time. But especially before you do something like installing a mod.
Your vanilla world will probably work just fine in modded Minecraft, but if you ever want to revert back to vanilla Minecraft, there might be some corruption. The mod might save data to the world which regular Minecraft doesn't know what to do with. Usually this will merely result in the unidentified blocks being erased, but in the worst case it could make the world completely unplayable, so make sure you have a backup.

Thanks for the tip, I will make sure to do that... I assume making a copy of the world would help too. (If you can do that)
They will likely work together, but I'm not sure about betterthanwolves, as it's such a big mod, it might be incompatible with some other mods, but if you want to play with mods without hassle of setting anything up, I would, for sure, recommend using feed the beast, it has a lot of mods included.
Awesome, I will back my stuff up, try some of the things to improve the graphics, and for sure try feed the best.

You think magic isn't real? Consider this: for every person, there is a sentence -- a series of words -- which has the power to destroy them.

Thank your direct answers... However is there anyway to tell what mods will work with each other?
For instance, say I wanted to have the fallowing:
1: http://minecraft-modding.de/mods/sonic-ethers-unbelievable-shaders-mod-1-4-7/
2: http://minecraft-mods.org/water-shader-mod/
3: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-147-optifine-hd-c3-fps-boost-hd-textures-aa-af-and-much-more/
4: http://www.technicpack.net/
5: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/253365-147-sspsmp-better-than-wolves-mod-now-with-non-useless-beacons-v454-upd-jan-31/
And have them all in one world... As awesome/epic as that would be, would it work?
So if I have this right: I can use them all at once with the exclustion of tekkit, and go with feed the beast instead?...

Curse PremiumYes, just make different Profiles (and game directories) for each type. And why didn't you just make your own thread?
