Hey, I have a problem where I can't record Feed the Beast with fraps. I am using windows 8 and I know that is the problem. I am able to record normal minecraft with fraps. All I had to do was set fraps and java's compatibility mode to windows 7 so that it would work on windows 8 and it did. I just want to know why this doesn't carry over to FTB and how I can fix it. Please help!
Please go in-depth about your problem. Like the lag or it's the codec,etc
I can play FTB with Fraps running and I even see the counter on the top but as soon as i hit record it says java stopped working and it crashes. I also tried in both windowed and full screen mode. I am using windows 8 and my graphics card is a GeForce GT 640 3gb. I'm convinced its a problem with Widows 8 because i had the same problem with vanilla and i fixed it but no luck with FTB.
Completely different solution to solve the problem.
Go into your Fraps settings, under FPS, and DISABLE the benchmarking Hotkey (change it to None). That should allow you to record full-screen Minecraft in Windows 8.
