First time posting on the forums, so sorry if there's any details that are too vague.
I'm playing the FTB Unleased mod pack. It's been working just fine, with the same lag issues that everyone else seems to suffer from but my fps is pretty stable at ~30 so i'm ok with it. For the past 2 days i've been having a weird and randomly occurring issue. The sound will start echoing. It will play the same sound ~3 times and then lag down to 0fps for second or two, then return to normal... until the next sound. The more sound effects playing (mobs, animals, etc) the worse it gets and it will eventually close. What i mean by close isn't a crash or anything of the sort. The program closes as if the little X button were pressed. I have no clue what triggers the sound lag into the close. So far, i haven't seen any recurring condition that's happened before each episode, nor is time spent playing an issue.
EDIT: Oh, i just figured i'd mention that Minecraft is the only program having this issue. My browser doesn't explode on youtube and my music player doesn't blow up when i use it.
That's my issue, in as full of detail that i know to give. Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions. I'd love to get back to playing.
