Unable to play online with 1.6.2?

Ok so I'm using the latest version of forge for 1.6.2 but when I tried to play online today it won't let me play online it works when I was playing yesterday and it worked when I tried using vanilla 1.6.4 so does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
