There needs to be something done about this.
This already has happend to me (twice) and im getting really piissseed off.
2 months ago, my computer suddenly crashed and restarted while playing Minecraft.
When I went to go play minecraft after the 'reboot'.
For some reason my world would not load.
No matter what I do, I cant get back into my world.
Now this happened to me 'today' AGAIN..!
Why is it, that minecraft can not remember the last save when minecraft or computer crashes.?
The only error I have after my computer crashed while playing minecraft is this error.

Minecraft for some reason hangs on the screen that says 'Loading World - Building Terrain'
But it never does.
Is Java that stupid that it does not remember what to do after a crash.?
Specially with a save file that is sitting 'right there'.........

I'm guessing your computer crashed while playing MC right?
This will cause the world to be corrupted, It's not really MC's fault.
Ok, but dont you think thats a problem, that if I crash my world corrupts.?
How is that not MCs Fault when the saves gets corrupted.?
MC should have scripts that should prevent world from getting corrupted.
We can put a man on the moon, and a space station in MARS,
but we cant write a script that would prevent worlds from getting corrupted due to crashes.

I have the same error message this morning, hanging on Building Terrain. Only in my case there was no crash. Saved and exited with no problem last night....
I found my problem. I was playing with some of the code in the config file for Just Another Spawner, and managed to get a & sign in front of an entity name. Big oops.
This has happened to me twice over the last week. First with Tekkit, second with Voltz. I've had troubles with my graphic card so it may be crash related for me. The saves work when I launch them without the mod packs though, so there seems to be something in one (or more) of the mods which is corrupted.
