So, I really want to play minechem,since it sounds like a really cool mod. So I got a nice clean 1.5.1 jar, used and old(before the new launcher) .minecraft file, installed forge for 1.5.1, launched it, cool, was running forge in 1.5.1. But, when I try to install minechem into my mods folder,when I launch, it black-screens me.
Oh. Well that might be a reason.upon closer inspection of the installation it says "all build are for 1.6" ok. Now I just need to figure out how to install forge and optifine together. Thanks!

It might be one of the mods that you have to install directly into the minecraft.jar.
