Minecraft, when using ONLY optifine runs with very low FPS. I have an I7, 4g of ram allocated to java (8g overall), and a 64 bit version of Java installed. Why is it running like this? I can run crysis 2 just fine.. When I try and even change it to a x512 RP, it just reverts back to the default pack. Thanks so much for your time!

When I press F3, it shows that its only using like 30% of the allocated memory. I get no less than 60 FPS with a normal x16 texture pack. When I use a x256, it drops to like 12. I don't see how I can run resource intensive games just fine, but minecraft won't even run smoothly. By the way, I can ONLY use the x256 texture pack with the new snapshot without a mod. Even with optifine, a x256 TP wont even select.
