After a day or 2 of endlessly following tutorials I finally managed to get otifine working on 1.6.2 with the new launcher, but when I boot into the game with my optifine profile the game is soooo laggy it makes minecraft unplayable.
If i'm running the default profile with the vanilla texture pack it works fine and sits at around 30-50FPS
Can anybody offer me a solution? Would using optifine in conjunction with forge or modloader make a difference? Optifine is the only MOD I run on minecraft.
Hey, I'm having the same problem, but with 1.5.2! It's EXTREMELY frustrating, especially because all my texture packs require either OptiFine or MCpatcher. I run it with other mods such as Forge, and it still lags. I'm going to try OptiFine only...yay, force update!
I just put the new Optifine 1.6.2 HD U C4 in and MAN dose it lag the HELL out of my game. I have all the same settings that I used to use and I also turned down a everything else that I could and it still kills my frame rate bigtime. I don't know what they changed but man, it killed my game.
