Alright i have gotten the game and have yet to actually play it due to this irritating bug that wont go away.

i have an alienware mx17r with 16 gb of ram the 3620qm processor a 680m gtx with 2 gb of ram on it


now ive also dedicated 4gb to minecraft alone as well as got optifine and tweaked it so i should get no lag and i dont... everything loads fast and smooth but for some reason when i first start walking or running (first 1-3 seconds of pressing the "w" key) i'm unable to jump with the space key. this makes getting over gaps with only a 1 block start impossible. no matter what i do nothing helps.. i also have perfect fps on the game... if i limit it to 60 i get 60 if i limit it to 100 i still get max so it isnt that.


please help me figure out why im not able to jump right after walking or running. makes me stay away from it and i cant find anybody else with this problem.

i press w then have to spam the space bar until it lets me jump. once i start jumping im able to continue but lets say a creeper is near me in a tunnel i have to jump out of.. im dead period.

Please try reproducing the issue on an unmodified client.

Otherwise, your issue is most-likely due to modifications to the game.

so i should reinstall the game as vanlla and try it?

yea even vanila i have problems.. oh i also found out on this test that after double tapping w to sprint its exactly two clicks of space to get my first jump.. so basically i have to double click space to jump but after the first jump i can single click jump,,,,, if that hekps narrow it down.

Try just using vanilla.

just tryed it.... same thing. have to double press space to get my guy to jump after starting my sprint.

Anybody?
