Hey whats up, so once in awhile I get minecraft crashing (yes I use quite a bit of mods) and I want to keep them. Does minecraft benefit from more than 8 gigs of ram and from any thing else? How can I improve the over all performance/FPS of minecraft? I might want ot catch a PC component sale if this can benefit from it.
If you're crashing from that much memory then you most likely have a mod conflicting with another.I don't run minecraft off more than 1.3 gigs and I never crash.
Only use up to 2GB of RAM. Install the Optifine mod. Use Fast Graphics, no Smooth Lighting, turn Advanced OpenGL on, turn Clouds off, use the default texture pack, set Minecraft's priority to "high" using Taskmanager.
