This topic is 4 years old now but i found the problem. It seems that optifine is causing the crashes, as soon as i used normal minecraft 1.8.3 and not optifine it didn't crash. This should help. Just don't use optifine. If this helps you please like it.

thx but i had been crashing on vanilla too as well as with optifine/mods. luckily, i fixed it!
