I have installed forge, I think I have installing basic mods for the newest Minecraft down, But I have encountered a confusing problem. the mod folder.
I have copied the 1.5.2 version, and renamed it and done all the other stuff for making modified versions now,But the mod I plan to install, requires the mods folder present in the old MC.
I thought simply making a mods folder and posting it in the version would offer success, however, it has not.
I am asking to know what the alternative to the mods folder is present in the newest MC.
So what your saying is that even for the newest 1.6.2 version of MC, new launcher and all, I still install my mods into .minecraft/mods?
I just did it, and it worked. Thanks for the help. I had thought the mods folder that forge would search for, would be in respective version folder. (ie: .minecraft/versions/[version name].

Yeah, Forge uses the same old mod folder it always has. Modloader uses the mods folder under the versions folder, so it's more compatible with versions, except for the fact that the older versions of modloader aren't compatible with the new launcher.
Strange that the Forge team hasn't implemented the same thing, would make running various versions from the default launcher a lot easier.
