I need someone who knows how to install mods on a pirated copy of Windows 7 Black.
The mods im installing are Reis map and Optifine.
Following steps i used:
1. D/L both mods and set the windows aside.
2. Open %appdata% went in and started a new vanilla MC client.
3. Went into .minecraft and went to versions, Copyed 1.6.2 renamed it to "1.6.2 mods" and all files inside it.
4. Deleted META.inf
5. Installed all mods.
6. Went to Edit profile and to change version for 1.6.2 to "1.6.2 mods" and it wasnt showing.
So i basically repeated the steps onto 1.6.2 after it didn't work the first time. Because that's what they wanted and it basically didn't work at all form there. So we are stuck atm with no mods.
ok, with that out of the way, you forgot 1 major step: what you name the folder you have to name the .jar and .json, along with the id (in this case 1.6.2) inside the .json if you want the files to stay.
