I precisely followed the very simple instructions in this tutorial on the FTB Wiki, and I will show what it has done:
Optifine shows up exactly where it should be after I go through the "add mod" process. I've tried disabling it, running and closing FTB, enabling it, and then running FTB again to no avail.
To make sure this wasn't just a menu error showing Optifine was installed when it was not, I checked the instMods folder as well.
It got copied over to the folder with no problems. So if the file is exactly where it should be and the launcher is saying it will run what it's supposed to run, why does Optifine simply not install? I don't have any of the video setting options, I don't have the keyboard shortcut for the cinematic zoom, and the debug screen contains no mention of it.
For clarity's sake, I'll list the versions of everything here:
Windows 7 64-bit
Minecraft 1.4.7
FTB Launcher v1.2.6
Modpack FTB Lite v1.2.3
Optifine 1.4.6 B5
Please help, I'm stumped as to how such a simple process went awry.
Going to bump this thread.
Have the same issue with ftb and optifine.
anybody some ideas ?
what worked for me is using OptiFine_1.5.2_L_D2 and insert it into the minecraft.jar
I've since solved this, I was using the wrong version of Optifine. Using 1.4.6 HD U D5 worked for me.
