Hello, the past few days I've been trying to play on singleplayer with no avail. I've tried playing ones I've created before and also newly generated ones. Usually it gets stuck on the downloading terrain and freezes and I have to restart MC. However today it crashed and I got this message:

The only mods I have installed are Optifine and Rei's minimap. My computer is Windows Vista and I have all the current updates of java
I have had this problem before. if you look at the error you will see this:
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
Which means minecraft is using more memory then java has allowed it. I use a custom launcher which allowes more memory, I would try to use the laucher and gradually add more memory until the crashes stop. Heres the link to the launcher If i know correctly its made by the same person who made optifine.

I've used ml before, but I cannot get Rei's to work with it

You need to install modloader with magic launcher then install Reis
