Okay, so I've been trying to download my usual two mods in 1.6.1. The mods are Modloader and Rei's Minimap. It said they were updated, so I downloaded them both (making sure they were confirmed as 1.6.1 downloads not from a previous version) and used 7-Zip to install them. Since the process was different I looked it up, found that you had to go under versions 1.6.1 and download them there, which was fine. It worked. I installed the mods, no problem. Minecraft was CLOSED when I did, otherwise it wouldn't have worked. So, I exited out of 7-Zip and went back in to make sure it wasn't the program re-installing the Meta-Inf folder. It wasn't, so I re-opened the new minecraft launcher and went into my singleplayer world to see if the mod worked. Apparently it didn't, it just showed up as a normal minecraft (No black screen or crashing). So I went back into 7-zip after closing Minecraft completely, and saw that the Meta-Inf folder had reinstalled itself only after I opened the launcher after installing the mods. How do I keep Meta-In from reinstalling itself again? I prefer not to have to download Win-Rar unless absolutely necessary, because I've never had this problem with 7-Zip before. If anyone finds a solution to this please let me know and I will try it. Thank you.

Also, I've always used Craften Terminal to install easy mods, but Craften Terminal still hasn't released minecraft 1.6.2 version yet
So I tried other launchers like Magic and Technik but they really suck. Anyone knows another good laucnher to install mods easily?

Yeah, hate to break it to you, but the only thing your gonna get is either the 1.5.2 launcher or the tekkit one. ill try and find another way, keep you all posted
