Not sure if this is the right area for this, so if it isn't, direction to the right area would be greatly appreciated.
Anyway:
I'm trying to install mods on 1.6.2 on a different profile from my main non-modded profile.
The mod profile's folder is on my desktop.
The mods that I'm trying to install are ForgeML, OptiFine, and several easier to install mods.
I want to apply the changes to the .json to make Minecraft load faster with ForgeML.
When I create a new profile, it seems to not carry over all of the files to the desktop .minecraft folder.
When I install OptiFine, it seems one of the files from the readme isn't there(versions/OptiForge-1.6.2/OptiForge-1.6.2.jar)
When I apply the .json changes, the launcher won't let me choose a version.
So, could someone make a detailed, step-by-step guide for this or link me to one?
Because my .minecraft folders look like jungles now...
Thanks beforehand.
Edit: I think I solved my problem. I was using the latest ForgeML version, but the .bat and files were for an earlier version.
