So, my friend has bought Minecraft, and he downloaded Modloader, but now whenever he opens Minecraft, it crashes at the Mojang screen. We went into the .minecraft folders and deleted Modloader dozens of times, but for some reason it keeps coming back. Help?! Does my friend have to rebuy Minecraft?

No he has to re download it by force updating under options in the launcher. The, delete meta inf in minecraft.jar and put the modloader files in.

but the mods i downloaded all said they were 1.4.2, like the herobrine mod

It is happening to me too but the only thing i can't delete is the .minecraft file so i can start over.

I have been installing modloader and having to replace the bin folder over and over again, installing each mod one by one and checking it, and then having to repeat the process when I run into a mod that isn't compatible and causes blackscreen. I finally sorted out all the mods that would't work and installed the good ones, then I turned on the game and was able to play it perfectly. I got trapped in a lair with a skeleton and died, and when the "respawn" screen came up the game froze up and crashed. Now every time I open minecraft, the game loads up and I see Steve's hand....then it crashes.

I recently added modloader into my minecraft.jar via drag and drop (i have 7zip) and since doing this, i have been recieving a crash error at the mojang screen. I run other mods on magiclauncher but i have tried loading minecraft without these and it still crashes. A copy of the crash report follows:

I am having the same problem but i am almost 100% shore i downloaded modloader 1.5.1 so this is the error report:

im having this same problem. i have mincraft 1.5.2 and i have the newest mod loader and it still crahses

i tried using tmi with modloader but it crashed but it says that modloader has failed to initialize.
can someone help me out? id appreciate it! thanks!

i figured out that NOT to use tmi with modloader.
